Terms and Conditions

1. Students by attending class are confirming and agreeing that at all material times there are no reasons, medical or otherwise, why they or their child(ren) should not participate fully in the Clubs activities. Should this situation change at any point it is agreed that the student will stop
training immediately and inform a Club Instructor.

2. At the end of the lesson all children are released freely and it is agreed that parents are wholly responsible for their children at this point. Children must therefore be collected on time.

3. Parents agree NOT to congregate near and to keep a minimum of 6 metres clear of the Fire Exits at all times during the Karate club hours.

4. It is accepted that the practice of Karate & Self Defence is contact, combative, physical and may carry risks of injury. Students must never behave recklessly and instead must do all they can to minimise risk of harm to themselves and to others.

5. Parents agree that the designated instructors may act in Loco Parentis (in place of a parent) and provide first aid to their child if required.

6. Photos of students may be taken by the club for membership and promotions. If parents do not agree to this email the club to inform them.

7. It is agreed that students who test positive for Coronavirus or experience either a loss of their sense of taste, smell, a high temperature, headache or persistent cough will NOT attend Karate for a period of 14 days and notify the club immediately. 14 days fees will be refunded.

8. Students accept that this is a Traditional Club and as such there are strict rules governing behaviour and respect. For example, no one may disrupt the class to the detriment of others training, teaching or examining. Failure to abide by this may result in physical exercise being given, permanent exclusion, change of bursary, reduction in grade. Further, expected good behaviour extends to beyond the club hours and premises.

9. The Karate Club hires the gymnasium and Hall meaning they are not open to the public during this hire period. The parents are allowed in to the above rooms only at the discretion of the Instructors and there is no right of access, unlike the public areas. Students or Parents who are asked to leave must do so immediately.

10. Due to the potential risks, sadly, students with allergies (such as nut) must not attend any events involving the Karate Club where food is provided. The club currently cannot guarantee allergens, such as nuts, will not be present.

11. By signing the application form or attending or allowing their child(ren) to attend classes at the Club, you fully accept paragraphs 1 through to 11 and agree to abide by and be bound by these rules, terms and conditions.
